Tata Tiscon CRS rebar are produced, using a judicious selection of corrosion resistant elements (Cu, P & Cr) complemented by a special Thermo Mechanical Treatment (TMT) route. The microstructure developing from the TMT process, leads to higher corrosion resistance which is also free from torsional stress and also has a homogeneous distribution of corrosion resistant elements from core to surface. This type of steel remains unaffected in salinity, and moisture in areas along the coastal areas which are affected by sea / ground water and in area which have acid particles in air.
